Please check back here regularly as events at Merchants come thick & fast (unlike our tenders who are certainly the former but rarely the latter) Private PartiesWe like a good party & people seem to like us for a good party too. In the first month of opening we’ve had celebrations for an 18th, a 28th, a 60th, a retirement, a christening, a hen bash & a wedding. We have the advantage of an upstairs restaurant that easily sits 50 & cosily takes over 70 that can be hired for private use. We can also create menus to suit or put on one of our various ‘events’ for your pleasure – be it Sweet Tooth, Wine Tasting or Cocktail Training. Please contact us for further details. Corporate Events Our 1st floor restaurant space can be hired out for anything from lunchtime meetings to evening bashes & with a range of functions available we can add a bit of flair to hospitality events. |
'Man cannot live on bread alone' - A wise man once said & 'Merchants' cannot live on wine, cocktails & fine food without some culture to wash it all down with (please note for emphasis this previous statement is best delivered whilst stroking a long flowing beard and looking off into the middle distance). 
For my previous sins I used to wear a suit to work, & at that work I often found myself in faceless boardrooms eating dry ham sarnies getting to know clients. It was a tired format.
